NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED LAND-USE BYLAW AMENDMENT NO. 14-05
TOWN OF FALHER

Pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter M-26 of the Statutes of Alberta, notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Falher will hold a public hearing prior to the second reading of Bylaw No. 18-10 for an amendment to Land Use Bylaw No. 14-05.  The proposed amendment is to:

  1. Add the following to Section 3.3 under Development Officer’s Discretion:

3.3.7  The Development Authority may decide on an application for a development   permit even though the proposed development does not comply with the Land Use Bylaw or is a non-conforming building if, in the opinion of the development  authority,

  1. the proposed development would not
  1. unduly interfere with the amenities of the neighbourhood, or
  2. materially interfere with or affect the use, enjoyment or value of neighbouring parcels of land, and

b. the proposed development conforms with the use prescribed for that land or building in the land use bylaw.

The Public Hearing is to be held at 7:00 p.m., June 11th, 2018 in the Council Chambers of the Town of Falher Office, Falher, Alberta. The proposed bylaw may be viewed at the Town Office during regular office hours. Please submit written submissions to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) prior to 3:00 p.m. June 8th, 2018.
