Please be advised that effective January 1, 2024, the Truck Fill Station operated by the Town of Falher will be closed indefinitely. Currently, there are no plans to reopen the facility after closure.

Council did not take this decision lightly, however with several factors coming into play, ultimately the decision to close was made. The main factor in this decision is the condition of the truck fill building. With dwindling revenues and increased replacement costs, council was not prepared to take on such an expense. Furthermore, the heavy traffic on 2nd Street West has caused excessive deterioration to the roadway. Reducing this heavy traffic will add longevity to what is in essence, a local road. Finally, Council considered that closure of the fill station and limiting access to the Town of Falher Public Works yard will reduce theft & unauthorized access.

Our neighbouring communities continue to offer bulk water sales through their respective Truck Fill stations, and we encourage you to utilize their services.
