2026 Main Street Infrastructure Project

Main Street Construction Ahead – What You Need to Know

A major infrastructure project is set to begin on Main Street on August 7, with work expected to continue through to September 25.

Recent engineering assessments identified serious deterioration in a key sanitary sewer trunk main beneath Main Street. Given the importance of this infrastructure and the consequences of a potential failure, this project has become the Town of Falher’s top priority for 2026.

Construction will involve deep excavation and full replacement of sections of both sewer and water systems. As a result, Main Street will experience significant traffic disruptions, including detours, delays, and temporary access restrictions for residents and businesses over the course of the project.

This work is a vital step in protecting the health, safety, and long-term reliability of Falher’s infrastructure.
